Government new rules on social media

The Indian government introduced some rules regarding social media and OTT platforms. These are implemented for the privacy of people. These are going to implement soon.


Let's know about the rules:

1.The organization has to give data about a person who started to circulate fake news in any media like Instagram, Whatsapp, youtube to the government. Government can take action against them.

2.Establish an office in India and appoint an Indian associate to notify about the violation of rules.

3.Everyone has to upload ID proof to use social media to reduce fake accounts.

4.OTT platforms have to classify into five categories: U, U/A 7+, U/A 13+, U/A 16+, A.

5.They must give the option for parental locks for U/A 13+ and above to safeguard from adult content.

6.They must verify the people by id document who wants to view category A content.
