VPN: Virtual Private Network has many benefits like hiding the original IP address and manipulates the location.

Before going to know about VPN, firstly understand about IP address, Domain name, and DNS.

IP address: An Internet Protocol address is a unique address that identifies a device on the internet or a local network.

Domain Name: Domain names are the names given to websites like google.com, yahoo.com, facebook.com.

DNS: Domain Name Server helps to translate a domain name to IP address because the computer can't understand names. As it is difficult to humans to remember IP addresses, domain names are introduced.
When we search with the domain, it goes to DNS and then translates into IP address before reaching the respective server. This server provides data that we want from the internet.

How VPN is useful:

1.For offices purposes:
Some companies will restrict to work from a particular place. When someone wants to work from a different place, he can use VPN to access this office website by manipulating location.


2.For security purpose:
When we use Wifi in a cafe or hotel, hackers can take the data from people who are available in that network. He can access your data with the help of your IP address as it is recorded in that network. If we use a VPN, our original IP address will be hidden. So that he can't access your mobile or system.


3.Accessing websites:
In Netflix or Amazon prime, some shows show "unavailable in this area". By using a VPN we can access those shows by manipulating our location. Some websites which are blocked or restricted to only some places can be accessed by using VPN.


4.Gaming purpose:
Games that are blocked can be played with the help of a VPN. For example, PUBG.



VPN makes it harder for hackers to hack our system as the IP address is hidden which is the main component to hack.
