MARS MISSION : PERSEVERANCE

Perseverance is the name of the rover launched on Mars. It was landed on Thursday(18/02/2021). After so many attempts Perseverance became successful. It is a two years mission in which it has to collects samples on Mars and checks for the possibility of survival on Mars.

After executing landing it has a challenging situation for them. So they named this time "SEVEN MINUTES OF TERROR". It is the first step to send humans on to Mars.

The rover only takes photos for few days but after few days the real work starts. It starts to research the surroundings and environment present on Mars.
                                 

The rover is carrying a small helicopter. Rover can travel a few hundred meters a day, but this helicopter can do that in a few seconds.

The perseverance rover takes the readings of weather on Mars, Dust storms, and some geographical features. It can conduct experiments to know the availability of Oxygen and Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. It helps them to analyze whether they have to send humans to Mars.

It collects samples of Martian rocks and sediments in tubes that will be stored for future experiments. It is capable of gathering 30 separate samples said by NASA.

It was launched into space in July 2020, is equipped with a drill, a 7 foot robotic, and 7 science instruments.
