How can we stay safe from that type of attack?
Phishing: Attackers can be contacted through phones, emails, social media and they make us click on the fake links by telling us that they are from a well-known organization. After they got your information they can access your data.
The attacker uses clone websites to gain your login details, card details, personal information, and more. Let's have a look at how to clone websites look from original websites. You can observe slight changes.
Eg :
we will get messages like click to see what's inside or click to earn more. when we click on them they will redirect like this. We will think of just it as a known website so you will click and login into it. you don't know that your login details are shared with the attacker. In the above image, we can see same page as the Facebook login page but it is not. Observe the URL that is marked. It is different from facebook. We have to get conclusion that it is a fake page.
Steps to stay safe:
1. Observe the web page when you redirected when you click on the link. There will be a small change if it is fake. Observe carefully.
2. Mainly observe URL's, logos.

Remember when you get messages like this from original websites they will mention your name instead of dear. Never be cheated with this. This is the main clue to say that it is a fake website made to get money from you.

If you get Gmail from college remember one thing they will never ask about your email and passwords. If you got mail like this asking for passwords, be careful it is a fake page. you don't have to fear if it sends from college because they never ask about your personal data.
