Here is a story that happened in 2019 but revealed recently. A hacker stole 53.3 crore member's data by using a vulnerability(weakness or loophole in software). He shared 60 lakhs phone numbers who are using Facebook in the telegram group. But don't fear this vulnerability has been solved later. This is not the first time that is happening on Facebook. 

Not only Facebook many websites sell our numbers through the Dark web(web where no trace will be recorded) so that they can earn a lot of money. So be careful while giving your details to any websites while signing up.

Some websites ask our permission to allow contacts and galleries without any need. So think once that why they are asking which are not needed to that website.


They will sell our phone numbers to some spammers. All of us may experience this that you may get calls from some banks asking for loans or tried to cheat you by telling us that you won a lottery. Some innocent people will believe this and they will give their bank details. The next day the amount present in that bank may disappear. So be careful. Don't believe such spam calls. Don't click on spam links.



By seeing all these things you may get a doubt that Is Social media safe. It depends on you. Nowadays people are keeping their daily activities and personal things on Social media. This may cause big damage if your account is hacked. If we use social media for a limited purposes then there will be no much damage.

   What is the new policy introduced by WhatsApp?  was it introduced to steal our data?  Is WhatsApp is trying to expose our data?  what is the alternative to WhatsApp?
